We are seeking a highly motivated Fuel Injection & Pump Application Test Engineer to join a global leader in clean and efficient technology solutions for the automotive sector.

As the application test engineer, you will lead the development of this global leader's diagnostic test solution for aftermarket customers.

You will be responsible for supporting the experimental approach to testing, conducting root cause analysis, and generating technical documentation. With a focus on transitioning to hydrogen combustion and new mobility technologies, this is a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of injector test plans for aftermarket customers
• Analyse test results and suggest product improvements
• Support technicians with guidance and problem-solving
• Generate and maintain technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with internal control requirements and legal requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years of validation experience and data analysis within an R&D project team environment
• Knowledge of diesel & gasoline fuel injection technology
• Advanced knowledge of oscilloscopes for electrical drive analysis
• Good understanding of technical drawings and mechanical design principles

Expected Skills & Competencies:

• Calibration engineering experience
• Previous experience with hydraulic and electrical control systems
• Root cause investigation and R&R testing experience
• Ability to communicate with customers at various levels of the organization
• Commercial acumen and passion for driving strategic plans forward
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude towards work
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills at all levels

In return, the company will offer you a salary of between £32K - £37K, bonus, 25 days holidays (+bank holiday), plus they will match and add 6% to your pension contributions (max 9%).
