We're searching for an experienced branch manager or assistant manager to lead a truck and trailer parts supplier's flagship branch. While a background in truck and trailer parts is an advantage, bringing expertise from the car parts sector is essential.

The company, which is part of an industry-recognised multinational market leader, has invested heavily in people and infrastructure over the last two years, and they are reaping the rewards with a record-breaking year.

You will be joining at a great time in the company's long history. You will be supported by an experienced regional manager and head office infrastructure.

You will not be afraid to stamp your personality on the branch. You will be focused on improving performance, processes and initiatives.  

The company will offer you a salary of between £37,000 to £42,000 dependent on experience plus a branch performance bonus scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Leadership: Direct daily sales and operations, ensuring alignment with company policies and targets.
  • Team Management: Oversee staff recruitment, training, and development in line with our policies and employment laws.
  • Sales & Targets: Work closely with the sales team to meet and exceed monthly sales, margin, and contribution targets.
  • Stock Management: Ensure timely and accurate stock checks, transfers, and organisation.
  • Financial Oversight: Manage daily financial aspects of the branch, including profit and loss.
  • Customer Relations: Identify and cultivate customer relationships to boost sales, whilst maintaining exceptional service levels.
  • Cash & Payment Systems: Implement and manage systems in line with company procedures, prioritising safety.
  • Strategic Planning: Identify growth opportunities and develop strategies to meet challenges head-on.

Essential Skills & Knowledge:

  • Experience with automotive parts, ideally commercial vehicles.
  • Strong background in branch management and sales.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to meet sales and operational goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
