The Customer Support Engineer is quite varied and with developments in new vehicle drive technology and moves towards automated driving it is an exciting time within the automotive industry. 

The Customer Support Engineer is an exciting and varied job role that will suit someone happy with a mix of hands-on/off work.

What will the company will offer you?

A competitive salary of between £37,000 - £42,000, a performance related bonus, 25 days holidays (+BH), PHI for the family with BIK tax paid by the company, critical illness, 7% employer pension contributions, life assurance, sick pay plus more!

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborating closely with customers from the inception of a project, all the way to resolving on-field issues.
  • Administering application tests either on-site or at exclusive test track facilities.
  • Becoming the beacon of knowledge on their product range, predominantly pneumatic-based systems intertwined with sophisticated electronic controls.
  • Addressing technical queries, planning strategic test activities, penning insightful technical reports, and ensuring the utmost satisfaction of our valued customers.

With the auto industry shifting gears towards new drive technologies and automated driving, it is an exhilarating time to be in our sector. This role promises variety and a perfect blend of hands-on and strategic work.

Is this you?

  • Educated & Skilled: Engineering degree.
  • Independent & Proactive: Self-motivated with a knack for prioritising tasks.
  • People Person: Excellent at interacting on technical subjects and liaising with global teams.
  • Analytical & Adaptable: Swift in data analysis and flexible in test planning.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiar with vehicle CAN (J1939's a bonus!). Experience with CANalyzer and diagnostic software, alongside proficiency in MS Office.
  • Eager to Learn: Previous industry experience is a cherry on top, but not a must.
