The role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will maintain and repair industrial batteries and charging systems at customer sites. Your work keeps customer operations running, which means you are valued, trusted and supported rather than constantly monitored.

You will work primarily across the North East, representing the business professionally while enjoying the freedom to manage your own workload.

What you will be doing and why it matters

You will:

• Service, repair and install batteries and chargers so customer equipment stays safe and operational
• Diagnose faults quickly, helping customers reduce downtime
• Complete service reports accurately, ensuring work is recognised and logged
• Advise customers on correct use and maintenance, reducing repeat issues
• Work safely and to agreed technical standards, protecting both you and the customer

Your contribution directly improves reliability for customers and strengthens long-term relationships.

What you will bring

This role will suit you if you have field service or engineering experience and enjoy practical problem solving. You will be comfortable working independently, communicating clearly with customers and taking responsibility for the quality of your work.

Experience with industrial batteries, chargers or materials handling equipment is useful but not essential, as training is provided. Electrical or mechanical qualifications are advantageous.
