Spoiler Alert - This Is Not A Typical Vehicle Technician's Role... 

Are you bored with your typical oil and filter changes? Are you looking for variety in your day?

You may be working as a plant engineer/fitter or as a fabricator or welder looking for something different in your career.

Our client, a highly successful, family-run business, is looking for a vehicle technician to join their busy team near Haywards Heath.  

In recent years they have expanded into the light commercial vehicle industry to fit air suspension and levelling systems to vehicles such as Motorhomes, Ambulances and Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles. They are looking for a vehicle technician/vehicle engineer to work in this division of the business.

The Role

You will be responsible for fitting air suspension and hydraulic levelling equipment to customer vehicles. Most of this work will be done on-site, however, occasional visits to the customer's premises may be necessary. After completion, you will demonstrate the adaptation/fitment to the customer.

You will have the ability to follow work instructions and use your experience and/or initiative to overcome any complications as they arise.

You will be presentable with good communication skills and confidently demonstrate work to customers.

Ideally, you will be an experienced multi-skilled technician.

Welding and fabrication skills would be advantageous.

You will have a desire to learn new skills.
