What Do You Think Makes A Great Sales Manager?
During a discussion with a client we were asked this question. I am sure that everybody has their own views on this but I stated that I always look for the following:
Empathy – I believe that good sales managers know and understand what makes their team tick.
Coach – not only make an A performer into an A+ but coach the team into understanding accountability so that they take responsibility for working to the highest standards.
Strong leadership – they have the ability to communicate the vision so that their team buy into the vision and remain focused on achieving it.
Business Acumen – somebody who is keen to understand a problem and can quickly make decisions which lead to a positive outcome.
Obviously, we realise that there are a number of key traits that make a great sales manager, however, we believe that these are the key ones.
