About the Role

Automotive Sales Representative – Republic of Ireland

Republic of Ireland | Field-Based

€45,000 - €50,000 + 10% Bonus + Company Vehicle + 10% Company Pension + Excellent Benefits

Want to represent a premium global automotive brand while having the freedom to develop your own territory across Ireland?

This is an opportunity to join a highly respected international automotive manufacturer with a strong heritage across the automotive aftermarket, performance and motorsport sectors.

You'll take responsibility for developing the company's automotive business throughout the Republic of Ireland, working with motor factors, distributors, buying groups, workshops and other aftermarket customers.

You'll have the strength of an established premium brand behind you, but you'll also have the freedom to get out into the market, develop relationships, win new customers and increase the company's presence across Ireland.

Why Apply?

  • €45,000 - €50,000 basic salary
  • 10% performance-related bonus
  • Company vehicle
  • 10% company pension
  • 30 days annual leave plus public holidays
  • Company mobile phone and laptop
  • Business expenses covered
  • Ongoing product, technical and professional development
  • Field-based role with a high level of autonomy
  • Represent a globally recognised premium automotive brand
  • Genuine opportunity to develop the business across Ireland

The Opportunity

This isn't a role where you'll spend your week sitting behind a laptop managing existing accounts.

The business wants somebody who enjoys being in front of customers.

You'll be out across the Republic of Ireland building relationships within the automotive aftermarket, developing existing accounts and finding new opportunities.

Working alongside established importer partners, you'll help increase distribution, develop product penetration and strengthen the brand's presence across the Irish market.

You'll have responsibility for your territory, your customer relationships and your pipeline, giving you the freedom to decide where your time can make the biggest commercial difference.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll:

  • Identify and win new business across the automotive aftermarket
  • Develop existing customers and increase sales across your territory
  • Build relationships with motor factors, distributors, buying groups and workshops
  • Work closely with importer partners to develop the market
  • Identify opportunities to increase product penetration within existing customers
  • Develop clear account plans for priority customers
  • Prospect for new customers and follow opportunities through to conversion
  • Manage your territory pipeline, forecasts and activity through CRM
  • Support customers with product range development, cross-selling and upselling
  • Introduce new products, promotions and commercial initiatives
  • Deliver product training and presentations to customer teams
  • Monitor competitor activity and changing market requirements
  • Provide useful market intelligence back to the wider business
  • Professionally represent the brand throughout the Irish automotive aftermarket

What We're Looking For

You don't necessarily need to be a lubricants expert from day one.

What matters is that you understand B2B field sales and the automotive aftermarket and can build credible relationships with customers.

Ideally, you'll have:

  • At least two years' B2B field sales experience
  • Automotive aftermarket, automotive parts, lubricants, workshop equipment or closely related experience
  • A track record of winning new business
  • Experience developing existing accounts
  • Confidence managing your own sales territory
  • Strong relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and good negotiation skills
  • The ability to plan your own diary and work independently
  • Confidence presenting products and commercial propositions to customers
  • A full driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the Republic of Ireland

Experience working with motor factors, distributors, buying groups or garage networks would be particularly valuable.

Knowledge of lubricants, automotive parts or workshop consumables would also be advantageous, but product and technical development will be available.

This Role Will Suit You If...

You enjoy being out with customers rather than being managed from behind a desk.

You're comfortable opening doors and starting new conversations, but you're equally good at developing relationships once you've won the business.

You like having responsibility for a territory and being trusted to manage it.

And you want to represent a premium international automotive brand with an established reputation and ambitious plans for growth.

Why Consider It?

You'll be joining an established global organisation but taking ownership of a territory where there is genuine opportunity to develop the business further.

You'll build relationships across the aftermarket, from distributors and motor factors through to workshops and specialist customers, while having the autonomy to manage your territory and develop new opportunities.

For an ambitious automotive aftermarket salesperson, it's an opportunity to combine the freedom of a field sales role with the backing of a respected international business.
