About the Role
Product Data Analyst
Marden, Kent | Hybrid Working
£26,000 - £31,000 + Excellent Pension + 25 Days Holiday + Benefits
Enjoy working with data but want to see how your analysis actually influences real products and commercial decisions?
This is an opportunity to join an established international distribution business where your analysis will directly support product range development, market understanding and future strategy.
Working within the Category & Brand Development team, you'll take large amounts of product and market data and turn it into clear, useful information that helps the wider team make better decisions.
It's an ideal opportunity if you're analytical, confident with Excel and want a role where you can continue learning and developing rather than simply producing the same reports every month.
Why Apply?
- £26,000 - £31,000 salary
- Hybrid working
- 25 days holiday
- Excellent company pension
- Staff purchase discounts
- Private healthcare after three years' service
- Career progression opportunities
- Work within an established international distribution business
- Develop your analytical and commercial skills
- See your work directly influence product and range decisions
The Opportunity
Data plays an important part in understanding what customers and markets need and how future product ranges should develop.
That's where you come in.
You'll collate, organise and analyse data, helping the Category & Brand Development team identify trends, understand opportunities and make informed decisions about current and future product ranges.
You'll also help track important projects, manage workflows and make sure useful information gets to the right people across the business.
This isn't just about spreadsheets.
It's about understanding what the data is telling you and helping other people use that information.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll:
- Collate, organise and report product and range development data
- Analyse information to identify trends and support decision-making
- Work with data generated through online product and catalogue activity
- Help the wider team understand what the data is showing
- Maintain and update project tracking and development tools
- Monitor progress across key departmental projects
- Manage workflow streams resulting from product and market analysis
- Work closely with colleagues across Category & Brand Development
- Communicate findings and feedback to internal teams and end users
- Support colleagues with analysis of larger data sets
- Present information in a clear and commercially useful way
- Manage several projects and priorities at the same time
What We're Looking For
You don't necessarily need years of experience.
This is a role where attitude, analytical ability and willingness to learn will be particularly important.
You'll ideally be someone who:
- Enjoys working with data and finding patterns within information
- Has a good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Is organised and comfortable managing several priorities
- Can work independently but enjoys being part of a close-knit team
- Pays attention to detail
- Communicates confidently with different people across a business
- Is comfortable working to deadlines
- Wants to continue developing their analytical skills
- Is curious and naturally wants to understand why something is happening, not simply report it
An interest in vehicles, motorsport, engineering or technical products would be advantageous because the role is heavily product focused, but it isn't essential.
Who Could This Suit?
You might already be working as a:
- Parts Advisor
- Service Advisor
- Accounts executive
- Accounts Manager
- Data Administrator
- Data Analyst
- Product Administrator
- Catalogue Analyst
Alternatively, you may be earlier in your career and looking for an opportunity to turn strong Excel and analytical skills into a longer-term career within product, category or commercial analysis.
Why Consider It?
This role gives you something particularly valuable early in an analytical career: context.
You won't just receive data and produce reports.
You'll begin to understand how the information you analyse influences product ranges, market decisions and commercial strategy.
As your knowledge develops, so can your responsibilities.
If you're analytical, curious and looking for an opportunity where you can learn while making a genuine contribution, we'd like to hear from you.
