Like the idea of a warehouse role where you won't spend every day inside the warehouse?

This is a varied Warehouse Operative position with a strong driving element, giving you the chance to split your time between preparing orders at the Sunderland branch and getting out on the road delivering directly to customers.

You'll join an established business offering a Monday to Friday working week, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, an enhanced pension and the security of a permanent, full-time position.

The Opportunity

Working from the Sunderland branch, you'll play an important part in making sure customers receive the right products, at the right time.

A significant part of your role will involve driving and delivering products to customers, as well as collecting warranty and waste products and returning them safely to the branch.

When you're not out making deliveries, you'll work alongside the warehouse team preparing orders, receiving deliveries and keeping stock organised.

It's a practical, hands-on role with plenty of variety and customer interaction.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll:

• Drive company vehicles to make customer deliveries across the region

• Build positive relationships with customers through reliable, friendly service

• Collect warranty and waste products and return them to the branch

• Load and unload vehicles safely

• Pick and prepare customer orders

• Receive, check and put away incoming stock

• Help manage goods coming into and leaving the warehouse

• Support stock checks and stock rotation

• Use warehouse equipment, including pallet trucks and forklifts where appropriate

• Help maintain a safe, organised and efficient working environment

The role is split between customer deliveries and supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, so you'll need to be equally comfortable behind the wheel and working as part of the warehouse team.

What We're Looking For

You don't need to be someone who wants to sit behind a desk.

We're looking for a practical, reliable person who enjoys getting on with the job and takes pride in providing good customer service.

You'll ideally have:

• A full UK driving licence

• Previous delivery driving experience

• Warehouse, logistics or distribution experience

• Good communication skills

• A reliable and organised approach

• The ability to manage your workload and work to schedules

• Good attention to detail

• A positive attitude and willingness to help the wider team

Forklift or MHE experience would be useful, although your attitude, reliability and willingness to learn are equally important.

The original role specifically requires good teamwork, communication, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work to schedules.
