Automotive Trainer - Apprenticeship Program (Field Based)
£33,400 – £40,900 + bonus + company car + up to 8% pension

If you enjoy developing people, working with real technology, and having the freedom to manage your own diary, this role gives you the structure, support and long-term security to do your best work.

You will play a key role in shaping the next generation of technicians while building a stable, rewarding career of your own. With strong backing, excellent benefits and genuine investment in your development, this is a role where you can focus on quality delivery rather than constant pressure or box-ticking.

This is a field-based position with travel across the North of England, supported by a company car and hybrid working.

What you will do and why it matters

You will support apprentices throughout their learning journey, helping them build the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to succeed in modern technical roles. Your work directly influences learner confidence, performance and long-term career outcomes.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging apprenticeship training using blended methods including classroom, remote and practical delivery
  • Plan and run structured training sessions that keep learners on track and motivated
  • Support apprentice wellbeing and safeguarding, stepping in early when support is needed
  • Manage individual learner progress, ensuring targets, reviews and documentation are completed accurately
  • Carry out gateway reviews and support end point assessments so learners achieve successful outcomes
  • Work closely with employers to maximise on-the-job training opportunities
  • Monitor performance against KPIs and take action where progress falls behind
  • Contribute to at-risk meetings and help put clear improvement plans in place
  • Support apprentice recruitment, inductions and onboarding
  • Maintain high standards of quality, compliance and record keeping
  • Support audits, inspections and regulatory requirements
  • Share knowledge and best practice with colleagues to continuously improve delivery
  • Promote technical excellence and the value of the company training solutions
  • Travel nationally to support learners, employer sites and events as required

Your impact will be clear. You will help apprentices succeed, support employers, and contribute directly to programme quality and reputation.

What you gain

  • £33,400 to £40,900 salary depending on experience
  • Annual bonus linked to performance
  • Company car to support national travel
  • Up to 8 percent employer pension contribution for long-term security
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, rising to 28 with service
  • Flexible and family-friendly working arrangements
  • Hybrid working where delivery allows
  • Structured onboarding and ongoing professional development
  • Funded training and upskilling opportunities
  • Perkbox access with discounts on retail, travel and leisure
  • Simply Health support and wellbeing benefits
  • Employee Assistance Programme
  • Cycle to Work scheme
  • Long service awards and recognition
  • Free on-site parking when attending site
  • A supportive environment where people are trusted, developed and valued

What you bring

You will be a strong fit if you:

  • Enjoy coaching, mentoring and supporting others
  • Have experience in a relevant technical or vocational discipline
  • Hold, or are willing to work towards, assessor or training qualifications
  • Have Level 2 English and Maths (or equivalent)
  • Are confident managing multiple learners and priorities
  • Communicate clearly and build trust quickly
  • Are comfortable using digital systems to track progress and evidence
  • Are proactive, organised and solution focused
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and are happy to travel
