Business Development Manager – Truck Parts

Dunstable & Surrounding Area | £31,000 – £35,000 + £5,000 Bonus + Up to £2,500 per New Customer Onboarded + Car or Car Allowance + Benefits

Do you have experience selling truck or automotive parts and enjoy being out meeting customers, building relationships, and growing business? You’ll be joining a respected and trusted commercial vehicle dealership with a strong reputation across the South East. The company supplies quality truck parts and accessories to workshops, fleets, and trade customers, and is known for its reliable service, technical expertise, and customer-focused approach.

The Role

As a Business Development Manager, you’ll take ownership of developing new business opportunities within your territory, building strong relationships with independent workshops, fleets, and trade customers.

Your focus will be on growing parts sales — visiting customers, identifying their needs, providing competitive quotes, and ensuring they receive the right parts and service for their vehicles.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Visiting existing and prospective customers to promote truck parts and related products
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with workshop managers, buyers, and fleet operators
  • Identifying opportunities for growth and onboarding new customers
  • Working closely with the parts and service teams to deliver a seamless customer experience
  • Managing your own diary and territory effectively to achieve sales targets
  • Reporting activity and results to management on a regular basis

About You

  • Proven experience in B2B field sales, ideally within truck parts, motor factor, or dealership parts environments
  • Confident selling face-to-face and over the phone, with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Commercially minded with the ability to identify new opportunities and grow accounts
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working independently
  • Excellent relationship builder with a professional, customer-focused approach
  • Full UK driving licence

The Package

  • £31,000 – £35,000 base salary
  • £5,000 annual bonus
  • Up to £2,500 per new customer onboarded
