Remanufacturing Electrical Technician – Coventry

We’re recruiting for a Remanufacturing Electrical Technician to join our market-leading automotive aftermarket client's team in Coventry – a role where your expertise will be central to repairing, rebuilding, and testing automotive electrical components to OEM and MoD standards.
This is a highly skilled, hands-on position that demands attention to detail, fault-finding ability, and a methodical approach to component-level repair.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for assessing returned electrical and electronic products, determining repair feasibility, and carrying out detailed fault diagnosis and PCB rework. Your work will directly contribute to product quality, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities include:
Diagnosing faults to component level and performing PCB rework and repair
Dismantling and rebuilding units to OEM and MoD standards
Evaluating parts availability and commercial viability of repairs
Testing components and assemblies to original equipment specifications
Completing accurate documentation including job cards and BOMs
Reporting faults and non-conformances to the Workshop Supervisor
Supporting wider workshop activities and maintaining high-quality workmanship
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in electronic fault finding and PCB rework
Ability to read and interpret schematics and circuit diagrams
Logical problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
Familiarity with QHSE standards and workshop best practices
Competence in MS Office, especially Excel (or willingness to learn)
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Organised, proactive, and eager to learn
Preferred qualifications:
HNC/HND, NVQ, or equivalent in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
Previous experience in automotive, defence, or related sectors
