Warranty Test Technician – Birmingham

We’re looking for a Warranty Test Technician to join our Birmingham team – a position where your expertise will play a key part in identifying faults, improving processes, and reducing warranty costs.
The Role
You’ll take ownership of analysing and testing customer warranty returns, confirming faults against OEM specifications and identifying root causes.
Your work will feed directly into product and process improvements, ensuring future issues are prevented and customer satisfaction remains high.
You’ll also be working closely with internal teams, suppliers, and customers, providing technical insights and supporting quality improvements across the business.
Key responsibilities include:
Analysing and testing warranty returns to confirm faults and determine liability
Performing root cause analysis and escalating trends for corrective action
Reporting findings in customer-specific formats within agreed deadlines
Maintaining calibration systems for all test equipment
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
What We’re Looking For
Technical qualification (GCSE A–C, IVQ Technician Certificate, BTec First Certificate, or NVQ Level 2 equivalent)
Experience using hand tools, measurement equipment, and machinery
Strong data interpretation skills for root cause analysis
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
