Logistics Manager 

£45,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits Package

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading the logistics operation, including hauliers, carriers, loading bays, and yard management

  • Managing a team of team leaders, operatives, and administrators to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

  • Overseeing inbound and outbound scheduling, stock reconciliations, and inventory management

  • Monitoring carrier performance, ensuring compliance with SLAs, and negotiating contracts

  • Working closely with planning, customer care, exports, and inventory teams to meet business needs

  • Ensuring compliance with ISO9001 and all site procedures

  • Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and customer focus

  • Managing site H&S standards and ensuring safe operations across the logistics function

What you’ll bring

  • Experience managing logistics/transport operations in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, develop, and motivate teams

  • Commercial awareness with the ability to make decisions that balance cost, quality, and service

  • Confidence in analysing performance data and driving improvements

  • Good IT skills (Microsoft Office essential; SAP/Witron/Cargoclix experience desirable)

  • Knowledge of ISO, lean techniques, and H&S compliance (IOSH/NEBOSH desirable)

  • A proactive, adaptable, and process-driven mindset with excellent attention to detail
